PRINT MATERIALS FOR FILM
This material is based on 1980s travel guide brochures and tennis magazines. In the case of these items, the text is all filler text. There will be no close-up shots of these articles. So I got the chance to focus on the design aspects and make sure that these materials felt like the 80s. As the posters above, you can see that when replicating a specific period, it is essential to have the font and colors spot-on, to make the products appear from that year.

The Great Gatsby Zine
Using the seven principles of typographic contrast design a seven-page zine that uses each principle per page using only typographic elements. I was heavily inspired by The Great Gatsby style. During this process, I learned how to use more hand-drawn elements, such as on the “so we beat on boats against the current” section and “bourne back ceaselessly into the past”.

Posters for FIlm
As part of a recent film, I was tasked with creating dynamic posters that represented the 70s and 80s. The first set of posters is for an elementary school hallway, and the last two sets are to be used in a college dorm and a teenager's bedroom. The last posters represent the popular 80s color scheme of bright gradients and soft rock band posters. It is especially challenging when working with films because all materials must be copyright free. Therefore, the designs must be made from scratch and changed enough to avoid legal issues!

Magazine Layout
Elvis Presley, the King of Rock n’ Roll is the topic of this passion project. I was able to illustrate Elvis’ power, through strong typography and color. An emphasis was placed on the colors red and yellow to best showcase excitement, energy, and enthusiasm.

Miss Madness Magazine
Design a 10+ page catalog or magazine with the content of your choosing. My favorite product to use is makeup so I pulled together a makeup magazine that would give tips and tricks to those who might be new to the makeup community. I wanted to take the time to feature my illustrations skills throughout the catalog! I also included a special section dedicated to one of my favorite holidays, Halloween!

Diner Posters
I referenced the 50s and 60s design styles to tie in with a Diner atmosphere for this project. I use a retro-style font, color scheme, and other retro shapes to present a well-fitting design. I have learned that I am drawn to pulling colors and styles from older design elements to bring a touch of old into the new.
