Who Am I?

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design and a Master’s in communication and media studies. I chose each of these degrees to expand my knowledge in a multifaceted way. Communication and graphic design both have a history of working together as these skills can be found in blogs, magazines, brochures, and marketing roles.

I have found that I push myself to create or learn something different each time I sit at a computer in my design career. I constantly seek new ways to improve my designs, knowledge, and experience. I take great pride in finding new ways to complete projects, and if I ever encounter something unfamiliar, I will gladly go the distance to figure it out.

I am also a fan of illustration and fine arts. During my undergrad studies, I attended five painting classes. It was here, in these painting classes, that I found a love for the unknown. There is something special about starting with a blank canvas or even an empty illustrator file and being able to build from your imagination. I will never tire of the creative freedom found in my chosen career.

Lastly, I have participated in four Disney College Programs since 2016. During my first DCP, my journey of wanting to become a graphic designer began. I saw the importance of storytelling come alive within their design, packaging, and advertising. I understood what it meant to collaborate with my fellow cast members and get the job done in the best way possible. Through this experience, I found the push I needed to go back and pursue my education in graphic design and then later in communications.
